CS4CA Europe 2019: Call for Speakers

London, 1st-2nd October 2019: CS4CA Europe unites 130+ IT & OT security professionals from across the continent’s Oil & Gas, Power, Utilities, Chemicals, Water Treatment, Transportation & Shipping, Maritime, and Healthcare industries to collaborate towards digital resilience.


The summit’s programme, crafted by a Steering Committee of industry experts, provides delegates with the most relevant and up-to-date topics to reflect the current state of the cyber security industry. This year’s advisers are: the Director of Cyber Security at ENGIE Laborelec, the Industrial Cyber Security Lead at CGI, a Senior Security Engineer at BASF, the Global Cyber Security Lead Industry X.O at Accenture, the CISO at NATS, the Principal Consultant at Cylance, a Plant Cyber Security specialist at Vestas, the OT Security Global Lead at DXC Technologies, the President of German Association for the Protection of Critical Infrastructures, the Head of Industrial Cyber Security for Power Generation at SIEMENS, an Associate Partner at IBM Security and the OT Security & Compliance Officer at Orsted.

Share your knowledge with the community alongside Europe’s cyber security thought leaders while strengthening your position as an expert in the field, expanding your personal network amongst relevant and influential peers, and raising your company’s brand awareness internationally. We are welcoming proposals to join the following sessions:

1. Experience-based panel discussion – three speakers engage in a conversation lead by a moderator:

Industrial Cyber Security from the field. Panellists will be focusing on the biggest threats and risks they are worrying over; how they are training staff to keep OT environment safe and secure while keeping the production process on track; the challenges they are facing in actioning cyber security plans in the shop floor and how they are addressing them.

2. Experience-based panel discussion – three speakers engage in a conversation lead by a moderator:

Overcoming the visibility hindrance in industrial networks. Panellists will be shedding light on the steps they are taking to increase visibility over their assets; what is proving most effective to protect equipment, processes and infrastructures from cyber threats; how security analysts in the SOC can be trained to notice and understand anomalies in OT.

3. Experience-based panel discussion – three speakers engage in a conversation lead by a moderator:

Evaluating cyber security risk assessments in ICS networks. Panellists will be discussing the basis on which they select a risk assessment methodology; the cyber security risk assessment frameworks that are proving most comprehensive and most effective in their experience; how security analysts, managers and automation engineers are being enabled to collaborate and process the vital security information related to their industrial networks and asset inventories after performing a risk assessment.

4. Experience-based talk – a presentation delivered by one or two speakers:

Extending an IT SOC to include critical OT systems.

5. Experience-based talk – a presentation delivered by one or two speakers:

Creating a cross-functional team to manage cyber risk across IT and OT systems.

Who can apply for a speaking slot?

CS4CA Europe welcomes speakers who can offer innovative ideas, new perspectives, and actionable insights based on first-hand experience gained from working as a cyber security practitioner. Applicants must be IT or OT leaders* from asset owner companies.

*e.g. CISOs, Heads of OT Security, Industrial Cyber Security Officers, IT/OT Security Managers, ICS Cyber Security Analysts, Automation & Network Security Managers, Plant Managers…
