CS4CA Europe 2018 Wrap Up

Post-event wrap up CS4CA Europe 2018.

The 5th edition of CS4CA Europe gathered 130+ attendees around the main conference room at 9am of the first day, equipped with coffee, notepads and business cards. The opening panel addressed the cyber security posture of Europe’s critical infrastructure, and asked: are we doing enough? Spirits were already high then, with lots of participation from the audience –and so it remained throughout the summit.

The networking breaks and seated lunches were no less lively. Informative panel discussions, keynote presentations, and case study talks generated plenty of material to be discussed in the more intimate and informal settings, further away from the stage and closer to the refreshments.

This year’s fantastic line-up of speakers included:

Philip Tonkin, Global Head of Cyber OT, National Grid

Ingolfur Gudmundsson, OT Security & Compliance Officer at Orsted

Tom Jones, Head of IS Security & Compliance, The Linde Group

Paul Timmers, Research Fellow Cyber Security from the University of Oxford

Barak Perelman, CEO at Indegy

Qatalyst Global was happy to see many meaningful conversations taking place. This summit served as a platform for vendors to connect with great leads, and for delegates to benchmark with peers and access a wide-array of information from solutions providers.

“Very enjoyable and informative. Some of the highlights for me were the case study by Linde Ground about making our employees our best line of defence, and the presentation by Dark Trace on industrial immune systems. Excellent content, venue, and food. Thank you!” – IT Manager at Barhale Plc.

“The delegate to vendor ratio was great and the roles of the delegates were the right ones in terms of decision-makers. I especially enjoyed the discussions around how IT and OT are converging. Really good conference with really interesting topics covered”- Head of Cyber Security from DNV GL.
